Over 30 years’ experience of international HR, remuneration, benefits, pensions and share plans, of which nearly 20 years was leading the group and/or global reward function in Cadbury (Schweppes). He left Cadbury at the end of July, 2010, 6 months after the Kraft takeover of the business.
Particular expertise in the contexts of growth, merger & acquisition, and restructuring. Trusted internal advisor at Remuneration Committee and Board level and extensive experience of performance and reward strategy, programme implementation at corporate, regional and country unit levels, as well as individual employment contract negotiation.
For 5 years, Don held the Chair of The Remuneration Group (networking group of FTSE 50/100 R&B Directors); during tenure led the drive to enhance activities and thought leadership capability of the group. In 2012 and 2013 he held the position of Executive Director, Global Total Rewards Network, Executive Networks.
Currently he is an Associate Fellow at Judge Business School, University of Cambridge and an Honorary Fellow of the Centre for Progressive Leadership at London Metropolitan Business School. Don is also involved in teaching at Said Business School, University of Oxford and Surrey University.
In his early career, Don worked for Schering Plough and Fisons plc and it was as a consultant on international remuneration at ECA where he met John and Adam.
